What is it? It is an international event created to promote and celebrate the work of Anton Giulio Bragaglia who sent a phodynamic futurist photopostcard from Frosinone trainstation on 8 TH July 1911. On this particular day (8 TH July) we are inviting everybody from all over the world: · to take part in it simply sending a photopostcard with the subject as ”Futurist Photodynamic”. · to contribute to the recognition of the work of this famous artist’s importance to the history of photography. When is it? on 8 TH July 2009, on 8 TH July 2010, on 8 TH July 2011 Why using PFP? Because Anton Giulio Bragaglia believed in his Manifesto of Futurist Photodynamic: “We are looking for the inner essence of the things: the pure movement, and we prefere everything in motion because in motion things dematerialise and become idealised, still possessing deepdown a strong framework of truth”. ******** “So sickened by the corpse-like stillness of the pictures, and seeing life as nothing else than movement, we like to picture in movement even still things, as we see them running through our whirling day“. (Anton Giulio Bragaglia – Futurist Photodynamism) Why take part in PFPWD? Because it will be a stimulating personal and group experience! We would encorage you to take part in it and share it with the rest of the world on the internet site www.asfotofr.it .
