2009 willl be the centenenary of Futurism.

Italian in origin it spread to Paris and then to Moscow. Futurism influenced all the historical avantgarde of 1900. It was in this climate that Anton Giulio Bragaglia, together with his brothers Arturo and Carlo Ludovico in 1910, started photographic experiments using mainly longe expositions. Anton Giulio Bragaglia set the surprising results in the newborn furist movement found by Marinetti a year before. In the years that followed there were a number of taken with the subjects in motion.

What is the day of Futirist Photodynamic Photos?

It is a way to remember that Anton Giulio Bragaglia on 8 TH July 1911 sent, from Frosinone train station, a photopostcard stamped with a “photodynamic” subject called “Greeting” showing that futurist photodynamic movement was started. Later a basic called “Futurist Photodynamism” was published.

Everyone everywhere can join the spirit of  the movement

...“We are looking for the inner essence of the things: the pure movement, and we prefere everything in motion, because in motion things dematerializing themselves, become idealised, still possessing deepdown a strong framework of truth”.
(Anton Giulio Bragaglia – Futurist Photodynamism - op. cit. verso 28)”.

*****

“So sickened by the corpse-like stillness of the pictures, and seeing life as nothing else than movement, we like to picture in movement even still things, as we see them running through our whirling day “.
(Anton Giulio Bragaglia – Futurist Photodynamism
- op. cit. verso 32)”...
